Give, Speak, Act, Live - Building a Better World

Join us for a relaxed day retreat exploring how we can build a more compassionate, connected world — starting right where we are. Inspired by the Saṃgrahavastus, the Buddha’s four ways of bringing people together — generosity, kind speech, beneficial activity, and exemplification — we’ll look at what these timeless principles mean in our lives today.

Come and meet others under 35 who want to grow in kindness, courage, and connection.

More info

Sun 9 Nov | 9.30am - 4pm

Sangha Day is a celebration of Sangha (or spiritual community), one of the three precious Jewels in Buddhism, that are central to all Buddhists.

The day will explore the great lineage of Buddhist teachers of the past, celebrate the rich connections fostered within the Triratna community in the present, and examine the ideal and practice of Sangha with which we can engage and develop into the future.

In the morning there will be a keynote talk from Keturaja – Reimagining the Sangha. In the afternoon there will be Mitra ceremonies within the context of a celebratory Puja.

More details to come.

Practice Day for Women Mitras at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre

When Sangharakshita was asked how one should practice Just Sitting he responded, “you just sit.” On this day through a series of meditations and exercises, we will explore together this most simple and yet mysterious and profound “non practice”, how it fits into and can enrich our total system of practice, and what attitudes and perspectives might be helpful in approaching it. This day will be an experiential workshop. All you need to bring – as well as lunch to share – is your curiosity and openness!

Doors open at 10am for a 10.30am start.
