Day Retreat: Mind Reactive and Creative

Join us for a day retreat where we can get a taste of a full Dharma life together
On this day retreat, we will take the radical starting point of the Buddhist tradition: that our minds operate either reactively or creatively in every moment. We will explore how Enlightenment can be understood as a state of the ever-increasing unfoldment of positive states of mind.
The retreat is suitable for anyone, whether Buddhist or not, and is particularly intended for those who have been introduced to the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditation practices, including anyone from affiliated groups outside Cambridge.
Due to the nature of retreats, we ask that you come for the whole day so that you can get the full benefit of the retreat as well as causing less disruption to others' experiences. If you are not able to attend for the whole duration, please contact us at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com.
Please bring vegan lunch to share, we will provide the evening meal which will be vegan and we provide soya and oat milk for teas and coffees. If you have any dietary restrictions that you have not let us know already, you can leave a message in the notes when you book or email us at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com.
Please be aware that none of the classes/events run by the Cambridge Buddhist Centre is aimed at under-18-year-olds. All under 18-year-olds must be accompanied by their parent or another responsible adult over the age of 18 (with their parent's permission). Please contact us in advance of attending at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com so we can assess how suitable the event is for the young person and how we can safely enable them to engage in a class.
