Art Exhibition: The Colours Between

Julia Ball
1930 - 2025

Julia Ball worked initially as a printmaker until, in her own words, 'Colour took me over.' She became a painter, devoting herself to distilling the colour and light she saw in the landscapes and seascapes she saw around her, primarily in East Anglia.

'Julia was a remarkable artist and teacher whose rare sensibility and contemplative nature led her to create images of luminous tranquility and glowing lyricism,'

Peter Sawbridge, Head of Publishing and Editorial Director Royal Academy of Arts.
