Cambridge Black Creatives Celebrating Five Years

The exhibition opening will be on Saturday 3rd October, 6.30 - 8.30pm. Then it will be open to view weekdays from 10am - 1pm until Friday 6th November.

Cambridge Black Creatives is a unique arts group supporting Black creative people
in Cambridge. We exhibit our work each year during Black History Month to share our cultural identity. We spread knowledge and education about our history and community using our art practice to build bridges and develop connections.

As artists we observe the world and things around us. We pause and reflect then interpret it, make our statements and present them to the world. This year we are presenting a dynamic exhibition celebrating our fifth anniversary. The work displayed shows the multi-disciplinary nature and immense variety of work created by the artists that make up the group. It provides them with an opportunity to showcase their talents.

This intimate collection of work brings together poetry, fine art, mixed media, sculpture and textiles. We invite you to slow down, look closely and contemplate the messages our artists are sharing with you.
