Padmasambhava Day: A Garden in the Wilderness

Padmasambhava and the Garden in the Wilderness
Please bring a vegan/vegetarian lunch to share
Once a year we celebrate the great guru Padmasambhava. Padmasambhava is both a historical figure who took the Dharma to Tibet, as well as a great archetypal teacher and activator of energies that enable us to transform ourselves at deep levels. In this sense, he is also a gardener: planting seeds and precious gems in this world, tending delicate seedlings to grow into a glorious and bountiful array of dharma, life, beauty and love.
Sangharakshita comes to us with Four Gifts, the ‘fourth is a garden planted in the wilderness’. Padmasambhava is the Gardener – planting seeds and precious gems in this world, tending delicate seedlings to grow into a glorious and bountiful array of dharma, life, beauty and love.
Padmasambhava Day will explore through ritual, meditation, teachings, discussions and more, this precious garden in the wilderness. Buddhasiha’s talk ‘The Master Gardener’ will help us reflect on what this means and what we each may bring to this Great Work; in the afternoon, we will dwell within the richness of the garden with the Cambridge Buddhist Centre’s Outreach Groups through guided reflection, music, ritual and more ...
