The Retreat

This year our Summer Retreat will be held amidst the beautiful gardens and delightful surrounding countryside of Triratna’s Adhisthana retreat centre in Herefordshire.

Join the Cambridge Sangha on a five day retreat that will give you the opportunity to take a fresh look at your life. Step out of your everyday life with it's incessant demands and explore the power of the Buddha’s radical teaching to transform your life. This retreat aims to create the ideal conditions for meditation, Buddhist practice, and community living. You will be joining a community of like-minded people and will be able to experience the joy and inspiration of living simply with others on retreat.

Everyone is welcome on this retreat - even if you are relatively new! All you need to be ready for this retreat is interested in meditation, curious about myth and ritual and open to Buddhist teachings - you don't have to be a fully signed-up Buddhist!

Dana Economy This retreat is bookable with a £100 non-refundable deposit. We offer retreatants the opportunity to make an additional donation, which you can do when booking. There will also be a dana announcement at the end of the retreat where you can make a donation by card or cash. As a guide, a donation of £200 on top of the booking deposit would cover all the basic costs of us putting on this retreat. If you are able to donate more, then this additional income will help us to continue to run these retreats and support others with limited means to attend our retreats. For more information on our Dana Economy, click HERE.

Retreat details You will be sent information on what to bring with you when you make your booking, as well as directions to the Retreat Centre and a link to help you to share lifts.

Dietary, accessibility and medical needs All meals are vegan; if you have a food allergy or medical condition requiring a special diet, please enter the details at the checkout.

Single rooms are strictly limited and may only be allocated to those with mobility or health issues. Unfortunately, we have been allocated the yoga studio, which is on the first floor, as our shrine room due to other events happening at the same time. This means the retreat is not wheelchair accessible.

Note Please be aware that none of the classes/events run by the Cambridge Buddhist Centre is aimed at under 18-year-olds. All under 18-year-olds must be accompanied by their parent or another responsible adult over the age of 18 (with their parent's permission). Please contact us in advance of attending at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com so we can assess how suitable the event is for the young person.
