Local Buddhist artist, Saddharaja has just completed a new drawing of 'The Tibetan Wheel of Life' and is offering a high resolution copy for download to raise funds for the Cambridge Buddhist Centre. Watch a video of Saddharaja talking about the work. You can download your copy HERE.

The Cambridge Buddhist Centre closed due to the Coronavirus

Centre Closed until at least 17th April.

Dear friends,
 
Following government advice to restrict the spread of the Coronavirus, we have decided to close the Cambridge Buddhist Centre, with immediate effect, until at least Friday 17th April. We will of course update you as more advice is given. If you are currently booked on a course or retreat which falls during this initial closure period, we will be contacting you separately by email to discuss the options available to you.

New Sangha Night team and themes

Our regular Tuesday evening Sangha Night enters a new phase with a brand new teaching team and format. The team, including Arthasiddhi, Viryajyoti, Kulapriya and Kamalanaga, will the lead the evenings which will explore key Buddhist themes through talks, discussion, meditation and Buddhist ritual. Ratnaghosha receives his leaving gift

After nearly three months we have finally managed to present Ratnaghosha with his chosen gift, a huge two volume Encyclopedia of Monasticism, which covers both the Buddhist and Christian traditions.

Jnanavaca becomes our new President

Jnanavaca, who has been the Chair of the London Buddhist Centre, has now been appointed our new President. As President he will act as a friend and teacher to the Sangha and a guide and support to the Centre Team and the Triumvirate (of Viryajyoti, Arthasiddhi and Vidyasakhi).

Ceremony to mark Ratnaghosha stepping down as Chair

On 9th July, a large gathering celebrated Ratnaghosha to mark his stepping down as Centre Chairman. Our new President, Jnanavaca, was present, as were the 'Triumvirate' of Arthasiddhi, Vidyasakhi and Viryajyoti who are jointly taking on the mantle.
