Summer Shade Yatra Day - Wandlebury Woodlands

Join us for a day of silent meditative walking through Wandlebury's Woodlands with short sitting meditations at each stop, poetry, buddhist inspired ritual, and nature connection.
It wont be silent the whole day - only while we walk together. When we stop for breaks there will be opportunities to speak, if you want. It's also an option to remain silent then.
Arrive from 10.20 for a 10.30 prompt meet by the information noticeboard in Wandlebury Country Park Car park.
Although we encourage you to join us for the whole day there is the option to join us for either the morning or the afternoon.
Morning option: 10.30 - 1pm. Option to stay on for a shared picnic lunch with everyone before making your own way back to the nearby carpark to head home.
Afternoon option: 1pm onwards (and before 1.50 if you don't want to have lunch with us) come and join us for a shared picnic lunch in the inner ring at the picnic tables there. If you're running late call Suryamani on 07763 774833.
A Yatra is a silent walking meditation retreat through the sacred landscape of Wandlebury Woodlands where we can connect more deeply with ourselves, each other and the land.
Walking meditation guidance will be given around awareness of the senses and there will be ritual inspired by our Dharmic connection with nature.
There will be regular stops for sitting meditation and comfort breaks.
Our experienced team will support the day and help you feel at home in the landscape.
Please bring appropriate walking gear for the weather and all your own food and drinks for the day. Also bring something waterproof to sit on for the breaks and seated meditations.
Let us know if there are any questions about the day by emailing Suryamani suryamanilayton@gmail.com
Car park is around £3 for the day. Car sharing or cycling encouraged. You can find more information at Wandlebury Country Park - https://cambridgeppf.org/
