Sub35 Day Retreat

Give, Speak, Act, Live - Building a Better World
Join us for a relaxed day retreat exploring how we can build a more compassionate, connected world — starting right where we are. Inspired by the Saṃgrahavastus, the Buddha’s four ways of bringing people together — generosity, kind speech, beneficial activity, and exemplification — we’ll look at what these timeless principles mean in our lives today.
Through meditation, talks, group discussions, ritual, and some silence, we’ll explore how putting these principles into practice can transform our relationships and society as a whole. No experience or background needed — just curiosity, a willingness to listen, and an interest in what it means to live with purpose in challenging times.
Come and meet others under 35 who want to grow in kindness, courage, and connection.
Programme coming soon.
A non-residential day retreat is a good way to get a short feel for what a retreat is like without having to go away. We will follow the usual pattern of morning meditation, teaching and periods of reflection, eating together and some silence as well. The difference is that you go home on Saturday night. It could be seen as an ideal way to bring Buddhist practice into day-to-day life – we will send out more information when you have booked and closer to the dates.
If you have any dietary restrictions that you have not let us know already, you can leave a message in the notes when you book or email us at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com. The evening meal will be vegan and we provide soya and oat milk for teas and coffees. The nature of a retreat means that we ask everyone to attend for the whole duration. If you are not able to attend for the whole duration, please contact us at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com and we can recommend an alternative event or course.
Please be aware that none of the classes/events run by the Cambridge Buddhist Centre is aimed at under-18-year-olds. All under 18-year-olds must be accompanied by their parent or another responsible adult over the age of 18 (with their parent's permission). Please contact us in advance of attending at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com so we can assess how suitable the event is for the young person and how we can safely enable them to engage in a class.
