Art Exhibition: This Precious World

Dates:
Tuesday 1st Jul 2025 - 10.00am to 1.00pm

Celebrating the unique landscape of the Fens – new fused glass by Dayachitta

The exhibition is open for viewing Monday - Friday 10am - 1pm or by appointment with the artist.

Dayachitta/ Marian Monas completed her Fine Art degree at the University of East London in 2016, after retiring from 30 years’ practice as a meditation teacher and acupuncturist.

She now lives in Cambridge and enjoys exploring the subtle, understated landscape of
East Anglia - the mutable colours, hidden and mysterious waterways, the coast and
the wide skies. Currently, she is exploring how to represent this landscape into kiln-
fused glass images, to show both its beauty and preciousness, as well as the fragility
and insubstantiality of our environment at this time in our planet’s history.

The works on display are made of powdered and cut glass, which when fused to over 800C transforms into a lace-like structure.

You can find out more information and visit her website here.
