Just Sitting: Start Where you Are

Dates:
Sunday 23rd Nov 2025 - 10.00am to 4.30pm

Practice Day for Women Mitras at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre

When Sangharakshita was asked how one should practice Just Sitting he responded, “you just sit.” On this day through a series of meditations and exercises, we will explore together this most simple and yet mysterious and profound “non practice”, how it fits into and can enrich our total system of practice, and what attitudes and perspectives might be helpful in approaching it. This day will be an experiential workshop. All you need to bring – as well as lunch to share – is your curiosity and openness!

Padmacandra became involved in Triratna (then fwbo) in 1986, and was ordained in 1999. She has been involved in Ipswich, Croydon and Brighton Sanghas, and now lives one hour north of Cambridge in a village near Downham Market, travelling to Cambridge for her chapter. She loves meditation, and is particularly inspired by Prajnaparamita and the Perfection of Wisdom teachings.

Doors open at 10am for a 10.30am start.

Please Note:
Please bring vegan lunch to share.
