Description:Celebrating the exceptional work of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and his conversion to Buddhism as means to gain mental and social freedom. Come and learn how his vision is relevant to us here and now.
61 Years ago Dr. Ambedkar converted to Buddhism together with 500,000 other Indians. That conversion meant their liberation from a caste system that gave them no freedom. But Ambedkar’s thinking is not just relevant to India. It is a vision to bring about a world based on true freedom, unity and fraternity.

“My final words of advice to you are educate, agitate and organize; have faith in yourself… The battle to me is a matter of joy. The battle is in the fullest sense spiritual… is a battle, not for wealth or for power. It is a battle for freedom.”
- B. R. Ambedkar
