The Cambridge Buddhist Centre forms part of a wider community of Buddhists in and around Cambridge. Some are members of the Triratna Buddhist Order - 'Order Members' - and others consider themselves 'Friends'. The Buddhist Centre provides a hub for this community and is a context for Buddhists to practice together and for the Centre team to work together.

Some Buddhists choose to work together in team-based 'right' (i.e. ethical) livelihoods. windhorse:evolution is a large wholesaler and retailer of ethical giftware, based at a warehouse on Coldhams Lane and the evolution gift shop is on Fitzroy Street. Windhorse Publications produces books on Buddhism and is based on Mill Road.
