Buddha Day - Tracing the Trackless One (Online)

Dates:
Sunday 23rd May 2021 - 8.00am to 12.45pm

A morning of meditation, contemplation, connection and devotion to celebrate the Buddha's Enlightenment.

The event of the Buddha's breaking through to a full and perfect vision occurred, historically speaking, two and a half thousand years ago; to us it seems to be a million light years away from our ordinary everyday experience. But it is in reality an unfolding process which is remarkably close, intimately present, entirely permeating our consciousness, though tantalisingly hidden from view.

We can come near it by means of dropping the project of selfhood, engaging our imagination and entering into a loving connection with each other in the contest of the way things are.

Vidyasakhi and Yashodaka invite you to join us for a few hours of friendly, interactive, profound practice inspired by verses from The Dhammapada.
