A Yatra is a Buddhist-inspired walking retreat; a mindful and devotional celebration of our land and our mutual interconnectedness with it and one another.
'Yatra' means 'spiritual journey' and the Buddha's followers were 'Yatrikas', or wanderers. And so we will be evoking the way of life of the very earliest Buddhists - but " upon England's green and pleasant land."
On this Moonhenge Yatra we will walk in mettaful silence together in the ancient fenlands. Inspired by Tara we will be connecting mindfully with ourselves, the landscape and oneanother.
We will walk at a gentle pace with plenty of breaks, when we can talk, share poetry or reflections if we so wish.
We will start and finish at Moonhenge with the evening event taking place within the sacred site of Moonhenge by the light of the Full Moon!
