Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Day
This is a day of practice aimed at anyone who has completed an MBSR course.
It provides a relaxed way to engage with the practices in the MBSR course with space for tea and a rest or walk after lunch. There is a combination of poetry and meditation on a theme, different for each day, so there is something new even if you have done practice days before. Silence is encouraged for most of the day, so that it’s possible to engage fully with the practices with minimal distractions. The day ends with a chance to share your experience with someone else, and with the whole group if you want.
If your practice has lapsed, the day provides a chance to re-engage with MBSR. If you practice regularly, the theme and new poems will help you to take your practice deeper and explore something new.
