Learning mindfulness shows how paying attention to your experience in a non-judgemental way can help you to face stressful situations with increased confidence.

Our courses are led by two experienced teachers of mindfulness and meditation:

Ruchiraketu has several decades experience of teaching meditation. He holds an MA degree in Mindfulness Based Approaches and teaches on the Masters programme at Bangor university.

Sagaraghosha has been meditating since 1996 and teaching meditation and Buddhism at the Centre for many years. She has supported and co-led Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction courses since 2009.

Our Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction courses begin with a no-obligation introductory session, where you will find out all about the course and have a follow up consultation with one of our teachers to ensure the course is right for you at this time.

Over the following eight weeks, you will be provided with audio recordings to guide the home meditation practices and you will be provided with a printed handbook for the course.

The course also includes a practice day on Saturday 9th November, 10am - 4pm, to help you to consolidate what you have learnt and further experience the benefits of the supportive environment of the class. There will be a break with no session on 23rd October.

Participants are often surprised by the transformative effects of mindfulness practice and report key improvements to their lives. They also remark on the warm atmosphere and positivity of the teachers.

Please note: once you have booked you will be required to attend the introductory session and then be invited for a telephone interview with the tutor to ensure that the course is suitable for you at this time.
