The Essence of Buddhist Meditation: Weekend Retreat
The Buddha’s teachings inspire and empower us to live more simply, meaningfully and kindly.
This retreat offers you the chance to step out of your life for a weekend, benefit from the opportunity to reflect on what's valuable in your life, and enjoy the inspiration of a retreat community.
Excellent as a first retreat: if you don't know the practices we teach here at CBC there will be ample guidance. But anyone who's familiar with the practices of Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana and who wants to enjoy the context of a community of meditators and simple devotion in beautiful surroundings is very welcome.
The retreat will be held at Vajrasana, which is a brand new bespoke retreat centre situated in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
We can offer a limited number of assisted places if your financial circumstances prevent you from going on the retreat. Please contact us allowing a few weeks before the retreat.
Do you need a lift? Can you offer lifts? Use this page to help you to arrange lifts with others, post a sticky note of your details for others to contact you and to read other's notes. Double click to add a note. Keep checking back for new notes.
Important: all meals are vegan; if you have a food allergy or medical condition requiring a special diet, please enter the details at the checkout.
If you need to arrive slightly late or leave before the end, please contact us.
Retreats are a special event where people enjoy coming together and support one another to practise the Dharma. While every care will be given to all those attending, the Cambridge Buddhist Centre cannot be responsible for the loss of personal possessions, nor look after you appropriately if you fail to disclose important information about your health. If in doubt please contact us.
