Autumn Day Yatra - Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve

Dates:
Sunday 9th Oct 2022 - 10.00am to 4.00pm

Autumn Day Yatra- Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve and Fleam Dyke

Meet promptly at 10 am just inside the gate of Fulbourn Fen Nature Reserve. There is parking all along Stonebridge Lane, Fulbourn, Cambridge CB21 5BW. Good cycle routes there too.

Our day will take us through the nature reserve of woodland and fenland and out to the chalk grassland of Fleam Dyke - a 5th -7th-century linear earthwork of national archaeological importance.

Join us for a day of silent meditative walking, short sitting meditations (weather permitting!), poetry, ritual and nature.

A 'Yatra' is a silent walking meditation retreat; a spiritual journey through (and as part of) our sacred landscape. It enables us to connect more deeply with ourselves, each other and our land.

We are not separate.

Walking meditation guidance will be given and there will be nature-based rituals inspired by Buddhism.

We welcome the sharing of poetry and reflections at our various comfort stops at the end of a stretch of silent walking.

There will be regular stops for sitting meditation and comfort breaks.

Please bring appropriate walking gear for the weather and your own food and drinks for the day.

Let us know if there are any questions about the day by emailing Suryamani suryamanilayton@gmail.com
