Who Hates the Metta Bhavana? (Online course)

Do you struggle to do the metta bhavana? Find it a bit of a slog, or hard to connect with?
Do you usually opt for the mindfulness of breathing? This could be the course for you!
Over six weeks we'll be unlearning our unhelpful metta bhavana habits and attitudes, and seeking to approach the practice as if for the first time, and in a way that is relaxed, non-judgemental and grounded.
We will be doing this through a combination of meditation, input and discussion. A commitment to trying out during the week what you've learned is strongly recommended to get the most out of this course.
This course is suitable for anyone who is familiar with the metta bhavana, whether you have been doing it (or avoiding doing it!) for months or years. Those who love the metta bhavana are of course also welcome, and you could learn something too!
The course will take place on Zoom on Saturday mornings. Please attend all of these if possible.
Our Meditation Night series on Thursday evenings will act as an additional practice session to complement the course that we would encourage you to attend or you can catch up with on our YouTube channel:
The first Thursday night session will be on 18th February, which is before the first Saturday session 20th February.
Thursday evenings - 7pm-8pm on the CBC Youtube channel
Saturday mornings - 9.15am-11am on Zoom (a meeting link will be sent to you with your booking confirmation)
If you do not already have Zoom, you can download it for free: https://zoom.us/.
