Unknown Landscapes - launching Urthona issue 36 - an event devoted to writing and art that celebrates the spirit of place.

* Saddhahadaya will present some her wonderful paintings.

* Poets featured in the magazine will be reading.

* Ratnagarbha will talk on ‘Coleridge and the landscape of vision’ and introduce our new retreat centre in Somerset - Alfoxton House.

Alfoxton is the historical manor house where Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy lived, Coleridge visited, and whose surrounding landscape inspired some of the greatest poetry of the romantic period.

Landscape paintings by two talented Triratna artists will be introduced - Saddhahadaya and Khemin. As well as David Hockney’s colourful recent work on ’the arrival of Spring’.

Urthona is Triratna’s very own arts magazine. Issue 36 on 'Unknown Landscapes’ is on sale in CBC bookshop. It features several landscape artists plus poetry from Kevin Crossley Holland and others, articles on the spirit of landscape in art and literature. Also an in-depth interview with Maitreyabandhu on his new poetry collection inspired by Cezanne’s paintings.
