Triratna Earth Sangha - A Caring Approach

Dates:
Saturday 30th Sep 2023 - 10.00am to 1.00pm

A Caring Approach.

Doughnut Economics recognises that human behaviour can be nurtured to be cooperative and caring, just as it can be competitive and individualistic. It also recognises that economies, societies, and the rest of the living world, are complex, interdependent systems and calls for turning today's degenerative economies into regenerative ones. This morning, Jenni will be explaining what Doughnut Economics is and how we as Buddhists can relate to its ideas.

This is a series of events triratna Earth Sangha organised on the last Saturday of the month by the Triratna Earth Sangha. triratnaearthsangha.network, an initiative by Order Members, Mitras and friends whose practice centres on ameliorating the harm caused by the climate and ecological crises.

The aim is to provide a safe and supportive context for exploring these issues from a Buddhist perspective. These public meetings aim to be informative, empowering and inspiring - both a call to action and a chance to replenish our connection with ourselves, the Sangha and our deepest values.

The mornings involve meditation, a talk, a Q&A, group discussions and a chance to report-in on actions around climate and ecological harm.

In the afternoon, the Big Sit will take place at the Grand Arcade between 2-3 pm.
