Sub30: Why I'm a Buddhist Talks

Dates:
Friday 7th Feb 2025 - 7.15pm to 9.30pm

Hear two short talks from Phoebe and Chris on why they are Buddhists

In an age where we have near instant access to teachings from spiritual traditions across the world, why bother committing to any one path of spiritual practice? What does it even mean to “be” a Buddhist? Can we not just appreciate the Buddha’s teaching for their wisdom without adopting some identity label? After all, did the Buddha not teach that we must go beyond ego identification to attain Nirvana?

For the February Sub30s event we will be exploring this area of what it means to be a Buddhist. We’ll hear from committed practitioners about what their process of becoming a Buddhist was like, as well as space to discuss these questions in groups - plus plenty of space for connecting with others interested in spiritual growth over tea and (possibly) cake.Do you want to meet others interested in living a radical life of transformation and growth?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sub30s is an evening of connection, meditation, and discussion. You don’t need to be a Buddhist to join, it’s open to anyone aged 18 - 30.

Start your month with an evening exploring how Buddhism can give us a radically different perspective on modern life and talk to other young people who are using this to realise more of their potential and transform their lives. Join us on the first Friday of each month at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre, from 7.15–9:30 pm.

There is no need to book, just come along. Even if you are completely new, you are welcome.

This event is for young people aged 18 to 30 interested in Buddhism and Meditation. If you have any questions or would like to know if this event is suitable for you or a young person contact us at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com.
