Commemorating Bhante Sangharakshita's Death Anniversary

Dates:
Sunday 27th Oct 2024 - 10.00am to 1.00pm

For Order members and Mitras to join us in commemorating Bhante Sangharakshita's death anniversary

A practice morning for Order Members and Mitras to remember Bhante Sangharakshita near the anniversary of his death. The morning will include meditation and ritual – and we are very lucky to have Nagabodhi join us as our guest speaker.

This is an opportunity for the committed Sangha of Order Members and Mitras to practice together and reflecting on the precious gift of the Dharma we received from the founder of Triratna Buddhist Order and community.

Nagabodhi was ordained by Sangharakshita in 1974 and has given his life to a range of Triratna projects in the UK and abroad – including founding Windhorse Publications. He worked closely with Sangharakshita, sometimes living in communities with him. In 1982 they travelled on tour in India, an adventure Nagabodhi chronicled in ‘Jai Bhim! Dispatches from a Peaceful Revolution’. His latest book ‘Sangharakshita: The Boy, the Monk, the Man’ gives us an insight into Sagharakshita from someone who knew him well and who can look back on his life and legacy with clarity, warmth and honesty.

You can buy his book here.
