We also provide classes in bodywork, mindfulness and relaxation.

We teach two meditations: the Mindfulness of Breathing, and the ‘Metta Bhavana’, for developing kindness and compassion. Get started: Classes and courses: Monday and Thurday evenings and some lunchtimes. Come along and experience the value of meditation for yourself.

Into the Tiger's Cave!

The Cambridge Buddhist Centre ritually said goodbye to five Sangha members recently as they prepare to go off on their ordination retreats this week. 

The send off event happened on Friday 29th March and managed to draw out much of the Cambridge Sangha who came to celebrate with the ordinands, Jeremy Peters, Jacqui Ensom, Archie Conway, Liz Mantle, and David Float.

Phoebe & Pasadanita Join the Team

Over the last two weeks, the Cambridge Buddhist Centre has been delighted to receive two new members on the team!

Phoebe Thomas, a GFR Mitra, is the new Administration and Communications Officer who started on Monday 11th March. She has moved to Cambridge from Sheffield, where she previously worked in a similar role at the Sheffield Buddhist Centre. 

Pasadanita, ordained 2023, is the new Trainee Centre Manager who started on Monday 18th March. She has moved from Soham, after leaving the role of Customer Services and Marketing at Windhorse Publications late last year.

Congratulations to all new dharmacharinis who were ordained at Tiratanaloka recently!

From the Cambridge sangha, we delight in the ordination of Subhadarsa (accent above each ‘s’, long final ‘a’), a Sanskrit name meaning “She who sees beauty” (ex-Jules Smart).

Also ordained, is Srigarbha (accent above the ‘s’, long ‘i’ and long final ‘a’), a Sanskrit name meaning “She who is gloriously radiant from her very core (ex-Helen Bond).
